All is not well in Happville. Mr. Peabody stands alone wondering where everybody is. He does not realize that people are talking about him all over town.

In this painting, I hoped to portray the vulnerability of his stature in his beloved community. I was going for mood and tone with this piece... not only in the expression on his face, the look in his eyes or the gesture of his body, but also in the soft distant landscape as it contrasts the sharp, darker values in his figure.

This picture is a personal favorite of mine from the book.
