This is the jubilant scene of achievement in the book for Little Blue and all the toys.
I’ve tried to suggest a certain blend of excitement, pride and even astonishment in Little Blue’s expression here. She did not “know” she could do it…she only “thought” she could and she was willing to try. Little Blue does not look so “little” in this composition.
