LOREN, together with Riprotinte, has personally chosen Arches fine art papers for his prints. Arches’ museum-quality, mould-made rags are 100% cotton and pH neutral. They are completely free of any lignin ingredients or optical brightening agents as well. Arches engineers our chosen paper specifically for giclée printing on the particular type of machine we use at Riprotinte Studios. This paper provides an unparalleled combination of image quality and archival

The first Arches paper mill was founded in Lorraine, France, in 1492. Many literary milestones and works of art have been entrusted to Arches papers, including the publication of the complete works of Voltaire, a project begun in 1784 and Napoleon's The Description of Egypt, printed between 1807 and 1823. In 1895, Arches entered the Industrial Age by using the cylinder mould to fabricate the finest art papers. Arches papers are still made in the original 1492 mill.

The inks used to create our giclées are a complex, water-based solution containing lightfast color pigment. These inks offer incredible longevity and the most vivid, accurate color fidelity available on the market today. They, like the Arches paper, are engineered specifically for fine art printing.

Loren's images are captured using a large-format digital photography system under customized lighting. Whereas many paintings are photographed using traditional film, which is then digitally scanned before printing, our giclées come directly from a first-generation digital capture, thereby eliminating the intermediate generation of film. No other method would provide a more faithful reproduction of the rich hues and nuanced textures present in Loren's work.

All of this information will be documented on a Certificate of Authenticity, bearing the signature of both Loren and the printmaker, included with each print.
